Young W. Ryu represents employees in complex litigation. He has particular expertise advocating the voices of many: in consumer class actions, false advertising, unfair competition, consumer protection claims, and wage and hour class actions. 

         

Mr. Ryu has successfully litigated a number of consumer and wage & hour class action cases over the years, obtained multi-million dollars for his clients.  Mr. Ryu has been appointed as Class Counsel in numerous State and Federal class action cases, representing thousands of consumers and employees across the United States of America and obtained judgments with a total economic value over tens of millions of dollars. 

 

In this regard, a California judge presiding over the Complex Department of Los Angeles Superior Court noted that Mr. Ryu displayed a high level of skill in presenting complicated and difficult legal issues and that his efforts in this action and the results obtained provided great value in the public interest. ​

 

Mr. Ryu is happily married and has two children. In his career, he served as a legal fellow to the former New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, and upon graduating law school, started his legal career as an Assistant Legal Officer at the International Criminal Court in the Hague, the Netherlands. He then worked at one of the largest insurance defense firms for a few years, until eventually opened his own practice in 2011 upon moving to Los Angeles. Mr. Ryu also regularly volunteers for Seniors' free legal consultation clinics in downtown Los Angeles.
